Thyme is a member of the Lip flower family and has a really aromatic flavour. This vegetation originally comes from the south of Europe and Asia. Only a few species also exist in Western-Europe.
Thyme contains thymol which is good for the bronchus, against coughing, and symptoms of asthma. Usually the thyme sirup is used, which is a sirup with high concentration of suger and thyme.
Tarragon has a bitter, pepper-like, aniseed palate. This is mainly known from sauces like bearnaise, but is also used in vinaigrettes and mustard. The flowers and leafs can be used for making tea which improves the kidney function.
Tarragon is a part of the "Fines herbs" which is a herb melange often used for flavouring soups, eggs, and butter.
