Tarragon is an herb which is especially known from the classical (French) kitchen. It originates from Central Asia and is in Europe for culinary use since the Middle Ages. Both the leafs as the flowers can be used for consumption.
Due to the aromatic flavour, thyme is used widely in soap industry. The flowers and leafs are also applied for preparing tea and treacle. Furthermore the sweet, but strong, aroma is excellent for spicing vegetables, fish, meat, sauces, and liqours (Benedictine).
