Coriander is mostly used in the Asian kitchen. Coriander originates from the Middle-East and Southern-Europe. A big difference in taste exists between the seed and the leafs of this herb. For some people, the leafs taste a little like soap. For other people, they taste a little like parsely influenced with lemon.
Ruccola is mainly used for flavouring salads and lettuce, but it can also be stewed. The seeds can be eaten with bread. Ruccola has a walnut-like taste, sometimes a little bitter, and containts much vitamin C. The usage of this herb salads and lettuce is a typical Toscan thing.
