Melisse is a plant which has a strong lemon fragrance. Melisse mainly grows in Southern Europe but can perfectly be bred in Holland because during winter this herb can live on due to its strong roots.
Melisse is a perfect remedy against muggets. Muggets possess an excellent olfactory organ and have an aversion to lemon odour.
In Holland, coriander is usually applied in dishes from foreign origin. In past, this herb used to be populair in the Dutch and Belgian kitchen. Nowadays it is only applied as a component of Belgian lager. Both the leafs and the seeds of coriander are proper for flavouring.
